As a former HR executive (SVP, Head of HR, CLO) and now as a professor and independent coach, Rob has coached hundreds of leaders. He relies on his education, research, and experience to help his clients. He loves helping individuals and teams realize their goals. His coaching clients range from C-Suite executives to independent business owners. Rob also consults with organizations regarding implementing organizational change, cultural change initiatives, team dynamics, and team building.

Finally, he advises and supports HR teams on special projects. Typically, these engagements are focused on HR strategy development, succession planning, or leadership development. He is a regular presenter at academic, human resources, and organizational development conferences. His research interests include organizational change, organization identity, and strategic human resources.

Dr. Jacqueline Medland (“Jackie”) currently serves in both the academic and practice arenas—as
an Associate Clinical Professor in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, Innovation
Leadership at Arizona State University, and as Principal at MedValence Inc., an organization
development firm for hospitals, health systems, and physician practices.

Jackie has enjoyed a strong and vibrant history in direct patient care, advanced practice nursing,
and hospital administration, with her last hospital-based role as the CEO/CNO of a small rural healthcare campus. She also had the privilege to lead at several Chicago-based hospitals, most notably the University of Chicago Medicine, Northwestern Medicine, and Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center (PSJMC). The University of Illinois, College of Nursing, has honored her with the Power of Nursing Leadership SAGE Award, and she was recognized with the Distinguished Educator Award from Sigma Theta Tau, Alpha Omicron.

Jackie’s interests include strategies for building environments of excellence through high-impact leadership, and professional health and wellness. She regularly speaks to leadership teams and at conferences on the topics of leadership, personal development, team dynamics, and organizational growth, most recently in support of her new book, The Leadership Sandwich: Bite Sized Lessons for Busy Leaders, written with Martie Moore. Jackie truly enjoys executive coaching and loves seeing her client’s thrive.

Jackie’s unique ability to inspire others comes from her love of teaching, mentoring, and coaching, as well as her unwavering belief in each individual’s personal power.
